  • What is the Women's Sports COMMITTEE?

    A Nashville Sports Council Initiative

The Nashville Sports Council's Women's Sports Initiative is deeply committed to championing and shining a spotlight on women's athletics, celebrating the legacy of Title IX and so much more.

Our overarching mission is not merely to acknowledge the achievements and contributions of women in the world of sports but to actively promote and elevate their presence through a multifaceted approach that encompasses events and community involvement.

We believe that women's athletics have not always received the recognition they truly deserve. Whether it's the awe-inspiring performances on the field, the court, the track, or the countless hours of dedication and hard work that go into achieving athletic excellence, women have consistently demonstrated their prowess in the world of sports. Yet, these incredible stories often remain hidden in the shadows. Our initiative is here to change that.

One of our key objectives is to increase awareness surrounding women's sports. We want to ensure that the incredible feats of female athletes, both past and present, are celebrated and acknowledged on a grand scale. By doing so, we hope to inspire future generations of young women to pursue their athletic dreams with passion and determination.

But our mission doesn't stop at awareness; it extends to engagement as well. We aim to create a vibrant and inclusive community where fans, athletes, and enthusiasts of all backgrounds can come together to support women's sports. Through various events and programs, we foster an environment that encourages active participation and engagement, whether it's attending games, joining discussions, or volunteering.

Furthermore, we are committed to actively promoting women in sports. This means not only celebrating their successes but also working to provide marketing opportunities and platforms that amplify their voices. We believe that by offering greater visibility, we can help female athletes, coaches and leaders reach new heights and inspire others to follow in their footsteps.

We understand that achieving these goals requires collaboration and support from the community. That's why we invite you to be a part of our initiative. If you share our passion for women in sports and believe in the power of equality and opportunity, there are numerous ways to get involved. Whether you're interested in hosting events, contributing to marketing efforts, or have other ideas to help us further our mission, please fill out the form below.

Together, we can make a lasting impact on women's athletics, ensuring that they receive the recognition and support they deserve, not just today, but for generations to come. Join us in this exciting journey towards a more inclusive and equitable world of sports. Your involvement can make a significant difference, and we can't wait to have you on board!
