The NSC featured SEC Legend is 1977-1979 University of Tennessee Women's Basketball standout, Cindy Brogdon. Brogdon began her collegiate career at Mercer University where she played two seasons and averaged 30.1 points per game before transferring to UT for her junior and senior seasons. There she led Coach Pat Summit's team in scoring both seasons averaging 21.7 and 20.1 points per game.

As a junior, Brogdon led the 1977-1978 team to a 27-4 record and a No. 1 standing in the AP Top 20. During her senior season, the Lady Vols went 30-9 and placed 3rd at AIAW National Championships. Brogdon was also a 3-time Kodak All-American as well as a silver medalist at the 1976 Olympic Summer Games in Montreal, Canada.

She was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002 and remains a staple in the Lady Vols history books as her season averages rank third and ninth best in program history. In addition, her 3,204 career points ranks second in AIAW scoring history.

Brogdon was the first female athlete in the state of Georgia to receive a full athletic scholarship as well as the first Georgian to be a member of the USA Olympic basketball team.

Cindy Brogdon will be honored at the 2018 SEC Legends Reception for her outstanding collegiate basketball career.
