NASHVILLE SPORTS COUNCIL NAMES DAVE COOLEY
AS ITS 2009-2010 CHAIRMAN
NASHVILLE, Tenn., (August 14, 2009) – Nashville Sports Council representatives announced today its new leadership for the 2009-2010 fiscal year. The Board of Directors elected Dave Cooley of Cooley Public Strategies as its Chairman. The Board also named its new executive committee.
“The Nashville Sports Council continues to deliver meaningful economic development results for our community and makes a positive impact on Nashville’s sports and economic development landscape,” said Dave Cooley, chairman. “We are excited about working hand-in-hand with Mayor Dean, the Nashville CVB and Chamber of Commerce to maximize the city’s opportunities. We have a talented Board of Directors and world-class staff that will continue to add great value to the region through the recruitment and hosting of sporting events.”
The 70+ Board of Directors leads the Nashville Sports Council in its effort to recruit and stage sporting events to Nashville. The 2009-2010 Executive Committee includes the following:
