Comcast Spotlight extends agreement with Nashville Sports Council

Nashville, Tenn. - Representatives of the Nashville Sports Council announced today that Comcast Spotlight has signed a two-year extension to their agreement. The agreement keeps them as the title sponsor of the Comcast Spotlight Sports Speaker Series through 2008, which is presented by the Nashville Sports Council. Comcast Spotlight has been the title sponsor since 2002.
"During the last four years, Comcast Spotlight and the Nashville Sports Council have had a unique and successful partnership, said Dave Carter, Area Vice President of Comcast Spotlight Nashville. "We are excited to extend our title sponsorship through 2008 and re-brand these events as the Comcast Spotlight Sports Speaker Series."
The next event of the series will be the 9th Annual Comcast Spotlight Titans Kickoff Luncheon on Tuesday, September 5. The event will feature Titans Head Coach Jeff Fisher and select players from the Titans roster. "Comcast Spotlight is a great corporate citizen and continues to be a fantastic partner of the Nashville Sports Council. Their commitment to Nashville and our community's sports landscape over the years has been invaluable," said Evette White, chair, Nashville Sports Council.
The series of events will further support amateur athletics through the Comcast Spotlight Champion Award. At each event, an amateur athletic organization and/or athlete will receive financial support and recognition during the speaker series.
