HELPING GIVE NASHVILLE HOME FIELD ADVANTAGEMission Statement: The Nashville Sports Council strives to impact the economy and quality of life of the Greater Nashville Area by attracting and promoting professional and amateur sporting events. Community spirit: Civic pride and quality of life enhancement! Sports can unite a community like nothing else. Sports can help define a community and provide a platform for teamwork and common goals. Economic Development: The Sports Council has produced nearly $300 million in direct economic impact for Nashville. Major tourism generator for the community. Produced hundreds of thousands of hotel room nights and revenues for the Nashville area since our inception in 1992. The Sports Council has averaged more than $30 million in economic impact per year during the last five years. International exposure for the Nashville community. Countless hours of media coverage and attention for the area directly related to Sports Council events. Further media attention on Nashville’s thriving sports landscape including our professional teams, special events, universities, and other amateur and professional sports activities. 15 year proven track record with sporting event roster including events such as: Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl, NCAA Men’s 1st & 2nd Round Basketball Tournament, O’Charley’s Dinner of Champions, SEC Men’s & Women’s Basketball Championships, Country Music Marathon and ½ Marathon, U.S. Gymnastics Championships and AAU Girls Basketball Championships to name a few. Teamwork orchestrated by the Sports Council helped play the pivotal role in the advent of major professional sports recruitment for the region as well as the development of LP Field and The Sommet Center for hosting sporting events. Increased competition with other cities vying to host sporting events. There are now over 300 sports commissions (similar organizations to the Sports Council), which we compete with everyday. We need financial backing and corporate partnerships to compete with other cities and achieve our mission. Return on Your Membership Investment **Valuable membership benefits and advantages such as: Complimentary invitations to membership activities with noted sports personalities such as Coach Jeff Fisher of the Tennessee Titans and Coach Barry Trotz of the Nashville Predators. Corporate exposure and recognition, company publications like our annual report & website, volunteer opportunities for employees, a membership gift, and much more. There are 175 corporate members (small, medium, and large corporations) already involved with the Sports Council’s Corporate Partner Program and more than 550 individual members w ho annually support. Thousands of volunteers each year contribute their time to making Nashville a viable host for sporting events. There are flexible annual membership investment levels to meet any corporate budget. Annual corporate investments: $20,000, $11,000, $5,500, $2,750, $1,100 and $550. Membership packages are designed accordingly with varying benefits.
