Liz joined the Nashville Sports Council and Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl in May of 2014. As the Events Director, she oversees event staff and volunteer recruitment. In the years prior to her employment with the Nashville Sports Council, Liz volunteered for many of their events. Her consistent efforts and dedication resulted in her being awarded the 2011 Volunteer of the Year.
A native Tennessean, Liz graduated from East Tennessee State University with a degree in athletic training. She began her career as an athletic trainer and physician extender at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado. After six years in sports medicine, she returned to school for her Master of Science Degree in Sport and Entertainment Management from the University of South Carolina. Throughout her graduate studies, she gained experience working concerts, sporting events, tournaments, and festivals.
Prior to working with the Nashville Sports Council, Liz gained valuable experience at Destination Nashville. As a Senior Operations Manager, she planned and executed numerous client events including block parties, tour programs, transportation, and teambuilding activities. During her time with Destination Nashville, she realized her true passion for managing large scale events.
Liz loves exploring Nashville’s music and food scene. An avid tennis player, she can often be found on the tennis court in her free time.
