Friday, July 20 - Friday July 27

Competition will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 21

SITES:

Allen Arena at Lipscomb University (& other sites as needed)

AGE DETERMINING DATE:

Monday, January 1, 2007 - 12:00 a.m. (Born anytime in 1992 or after)

ENTRY DEADLINE

All materials must be RECEIVED by Wednesday, June 27. Entries must be sent by UPS OVERNIGHT, FEDEX, OR AIRBORNE EXPRESS

CONDUCT OF PLAYERS/COACHES/SPECTATORS:

A team manager/chaperone is to be listed on the entry form and this person will be held responsible for the team's actions. Any person or team whose behavior has affected the conduct of the tournament and/or respectability of the AAU Girls Basketball program will be brought before the tournament disciplinary committee. The so-named person will be responsible for any damages incurred to the motels to be used by the players

TOURNAMENT ROSTER:

A team shall be allowed to add a maximum of three (3) players to their official roster, when advancing to a National Championship, with an overall maximum of fifteen (15)players. Pick up players must simply be eligible to participate by age and residence requirements. A player from an adjoining District may be picked up under the above rules only if she did not participate in any other DQT. For details, please refer to the 2007 AAU Girls Basketball Handbook, which can be found online at www.aaugirlsbasketball.org.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT:

Teams will be blindly drawn into pools. Teams will begin with pool play (maximum of six teams per pool). All teams advance, seeded as they finish in pool play to a Single Elimination Bracket. Teams will be seeded by way of finish in their respective pools. There will be no National Classic in the 15U Division. Circumstances may require
adjustments to the prescribed format by the National Chair.

GAME FORMAT:

The 15U division plays 18-minute halves with a 10-minute halftime intermission. No game will start before its scheduled time. There will be a minimum 15-minute warm-up between games. A forfeit shall be declared if a team fails to appear with a least five (5) eligible players at game time. Thirteen to zero (13-0) shall be the recorded score.

DRAWING FOR POOLS:

A member of the AAU Girls Basketball Executive Committee will oversee the drawing of teams into pools approximately 5 days after the entry deadline. You can view the results of the draw on the Internet (www.aaugirlsbasketball.org). no phone calls, please.

REGISTRATION:

All teams will be assigned a registration time. To be on the safe side, transportation arrangements should be made so that all team memebrs could be present by the start of registration, 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 20, 2007. Each team must have at least two (2) coaches listed (with AAU numbers), but not more than four (4) on the Official Team Roster. Each person listed on the Official Team Roster MUST present AAU membership card at registration.

AAU MEMBERSHIP:

All players and coaches on the bench MUST have current membership within the AAU and present their cards at registration.

COACHES' MEETING:

A coach from each team MUST ATTEND the coaches' meeting on Friday, July 20, following registration at Allen Arena (Lipscomb University); after pool play coaches must verify your placement in the bracket by coming by the tournament office or contacting the Tounrament Director or Lead Commissioner.

RULES OF PLAY:

This 2007 National Championship will be played under NCAA 2006-2007 Women's Basketball Rules

PRACTICE SCHEDULING:

Practice times will be assigned in conjunction with registration on Friday, July 20th. The will be NO other practice times available.

PRACTICE AND GAME BALLS:

Teams must provide their own basketballs during practice sessions. Rawlings, the official ball of AAU Girls Basketball, shall provide basketballs for warm-ups and games. Do not bring basketballs to games.

HOME & VISITOR UNIFORMS:

The top team in the game brackets, or first team listed in pool pairings, will be the HOME team and shall wear white or light-colored uniforms. The bottom team, or second team listed in pool pairings, will be the VISITING team and shall wear dark uniforms. Whichever team is wrong shall wear pinnies. The Home team shall sit to the official scorer's left and take the opposite basket for pre-game warm-up and first-half play.

1. Team shirts shall be of the same solid color front and back. Shirts must be tucked
inside the game pants before reporting to the scorer's table.

2. Team shorts shall be alike for all players.

3. An undershirt is considered to be part of the shirt and must be a color simiiliar to
the shirt. No logos, decorations, trim, commemorative patches, lettering or numbering
may be used on the undershirt. An illegal undershirt may not be worm.

4. Tights/lycra shorts that extend below the game pants must be similiar in color to the
pants.

5. Each player shall be numbered on the front (at least 4" high) and back (at least 6" high)
|of the shirt with plain Arabic numbers. The following numbers are legal: 1,2,3,4,5,10,11,12,13,14,15,20,21,22,23,24,25,30,21,32,33,34,35,40,41,42,43,44,45,50,
51,52,53,54,55 (plus 0 or 00, but not both).

6. Sponsor names are permitted so long as placed in fashion that does not obstruct uniform
numbers.

7. The term "all-star" is not permitted on team uniforms.

8. It is recommended that all teams bring a white jersey and a dark colored jersey to all
games. All uniforms should be designed for girls (female cut). If teams wear low-cut
tank-top game jerseys, it is recommended that they have a t-shirt of similar color worn
underneath.

ELIGIBILITY:

Any questions pertianing to the eligibility of a player or team shall be directed to the National Chair or his designee in attendance. No member of the Tournament Committee shall have the authoirty to rule on eligibility.

PROTESTS:

NCAA Women's Basketball Rules DO NOT recognize or allow protests. (The same policy applies to the AAU Girls Basketball program.)

AWARDS:

Each athlete and registered coach on the top 8 finishing teams will receive a finalists medal. The top four (4) teams will receive a trophy.

OPENING CEREMONIES:

Opening ceremonies will take place on Friday, July 20, 2007, 6:00 p.m. at Allen Arena on Lipscomb University's campus. Athletes and coaches should wear their uniforms or warm-ups. Teams may carry a team banner and/or state flag. NO HATS OR BACKPACKS ALLOWED. THERE WILL BE NO THROWING OF OBJECTS NOR WILL THERE BE TRADING OF PINS OUTSIDE THE ARENA. TEAMS WILL BE GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY TO TRADE PINS FOLLOWING THE CEREMONY.

Tournament: Adult - $40

Youth - $20

Daily: Adult - $12

Youth - $6

Ages 5 & under admitted FREE

COACHES SHOULD RECEIVE A PACKET OF TOURNAMENT INFORMATION (PRACTICE TIMES, REGISTRATION TIMES, ETC...) APPROXIMATELY ONE WEEK BEFORE THE START OF THE TOURNAMENT. THIS INFORMATION WILL ALSO BE POSTED ON OUR WEBSITE (www.aaugirlsbasketball.org).
