2007 AAU Girls Basketball 15U Division I National Championship

FACTS

The Nashville Sports Council will be hosting the 2007 AAU Girls 15U Division I National Championships from Friday, July 20 - Friday, July 27.

Several fifteen year-old teams and their families will be converging into Middle Tennessee vying for a AAU National Championship. The tournament games will be played at Lipscomb University's Allen Arena and 10+ Middle Tennessee middle and high school gyms.

Championship venue: Allen Arena (Lipscomb University)

Team Registration: Friday, July 20 from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Allen Arena.

Opening Ceremonies: Opening Ceremonies will be held at Allen Arena on the campus of Lipscomb University on Friday, July 20th beginning at 6 p.m.

Competition Dates: July 21 - July 27, 2007

Format

GAME:
The 15U division plays two (2) 18-minute halves and have a 10-minute half-time intermission. No game will start before scheduled time. There will be a minimum 15-minute warm-up between games. A forfeit shall be declared if a team fails to appear with at least five (5) eligible players at a game time. Thirteen to zero (13-0) shall be the recorded score.

TOURNAMENT:
Teams will be blindly drawn into pools. Teams will begin with pool play (maximum of six teams, minimum of five teams per pool). All teams advance, seeded as they finish in pool play to a Single Elimination Bracket.

Entry Requirements: Every player and team must be an AAU member. Each team must have played in their state tournament (A or B bracket), and not have qualified for Nationals. Copy of entry packet can be pulled off the website.

Tournament Passes: Tournament week passes $40 (adult), $20 (youth); Daily $12 (adult), $6 (youth)
