Scott RamseyPresident/CEO
Ramsey moved to Nashville in 1995 when he accepted the executive director position for the 1997 U.S. Figure Skating Championships. The Championships were the first sporting event in the new Nashville Arena and garnered 13 hours of national television coverage including 4 hours in prime time on ABC Sports. The Championships were a tremendous success with over 108,000 people attending the seven-day event. Over 1,100 volunteers were employed to produce what national organizers called the best-managed national championships ever. Prior to his move to Nashville, Ramsey spent eight years with USA Gymnastics, the national governing body for gymnastics within the United States Olympic Committee family. Ramsey left as the Director of Marketing after promoting over 60 gymnastics events in 30 cities including national broadcasts on NBC, ABC, CBS, ESPN and SportsChannel. He was also responsible for the development and management of the national sponsorship program and the national television contracts. Additionally, Ramsey was responsible for the site selection of events, licensing programs and corporate marketing campaigns. In 1991, Scott was the co-chairman of marketing committee for the World Gymnastics Championships in Indianapolis, which was regarded as the most successful ever with over 50 countries participating and over 100,000 people attending the event. Ramsey began his sports marketing career in the golf business working at River Wilderness CC in Bradenton, FL, during its development and start-up years. He then took an account executive position with the Washington Bullets of the NBA and was responsible for season ticket marketing and other public relations duties. Scott and his wife, Amy, are natives of the Indianapolis area and now live in Hendersonville, TN. They have three daughters, Payton, Carly and Jessica.
